The conflict between herdsmen and farmers in Adamawa state seem to be
far from over as a group of suspected herdsmen are reportedly on a
rampage in Lawaru and Dong

There have been tension in the state following an attack on the Fulani community in Numan village in the state last month.
Some farmers had carried out the attack after a group of herdsmen had allegedly killed a farmer whose fram their cattle invaded. During the reprisal attack by the farmers, no few than 30 persons mainly children, were killed in the Fulani community.
On Friday, suspected herdsmen killed six police officers that were sent by the IG of police, Idris Ibrahim, to restore law and order in the affected area.
